My story is about a girl named Kit Tyler who lives on Barbados with her grandfather. The reason that she is not living with her parents is that her parents died. Shortly after her grandfather died and she had to sail down the Connecticut River on the ship called the Dolphin to go and live with her Aunt, Uncle, and cousins in Weathersfield, Connecticut she meet with a boy named John. John was going to Weathersfield too so they talked about why they where going to Weathersfield. john said that he was going to school there. Kit was going to live with her Uncle and Aunt. A few months later John and Kit talked about the ball coming up John said that he loved Mercy not Judith. John came over the night of the ball not going because he wanted to ask Kit's uncle if he could marry Mercy.

I like this book because kit is a good girl and it is sort of like a dairy being read aloud because it tells part of Kit's life.

I prediect that John will prepose to Mercy and Judith will get very mad and think that her life is over and Kit will marry Willam.
